DAY 01-CUSCO-PISCACUCHO -WAYLLABAMBA
You will be picked up from your hotel early on before taking a private bus to Pisacucho, otherwise known as Km 82. We will pass through the Sacred Valley (Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo) before having breakfast in Pisacucho.
From there, we will start our trek, stopping in Misccay town in about 1 hour 30 minutes. En route we will visit the archaeological site of Llactapata before arriving in Waillabamba, your first campsite. Relax with a fine dinner.
DAY 02 WAYLLABAMBA- WARMIWANUSC-PACAYMAYO
We will have breakfast early and start trekking to the highest point of the Inka Trail, where we can see different ecological zones and enjoy the variety of climates. We will cross the Warmiwañusca pass at 4,200 meters above sea level before lunch and continue to the campsite at Pacaymayo, enjoying dinner and a well deserved rest.
DAY 03 PACAYMAYO-CHAQUICOHA- WARMIWANUSC
We will continue our trek and visit some archaeological places on the way (Runcurakay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca) before setting up camp at Wiñaywaina.
DAY04-WINAYWAYNA-MACHUPICCHU-CUSCO
An early rise before leaving Winñaywayna for the Untipunku or "Sun Gate", where we will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Machu Picchu citadel at sunrise. From this point, the astonished traveler can contemplate the majesty and grandeur of Machu Picchu. After a short hike down to Machu Picchu, you will be given a two-hour tour by your guide before you are free to explore the citadel at your own leisure. After an all connsuming day, will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy the town before returning to Cusco.
