Day 01-CUSCO-PISCACUCHO-WAYLLABAMBA
You will be picked up from your hotel early on by private bus, and taken to Piskacucho (2,700m), also known as Km 82 on the railway line from Cusco to Machu Picchu. Starting your trek from this point, you wil cross the bridge and then walk alongside the Urubamba river. After passing flat terraces, you will arrive in Miskay (2,800m) and climb to Patallacta (2,750 m) before trekking along the valley created by the Kusichaca river, heading up progressively until reaching the first campsite. Here we will have dinner and rest.
Day 2:WAYLLABAMBA- WARMIWANUSCA- PACAYMAYO
We will have an early breakfast and start the most difficult day´s trekking to the highest point of the Inca Trail, You will begin with a very stiff and narrow climb of about 9 km, where you can see different ecological zones and enjoy changing climates, from the mountain to a dry space with little vegetation, then you continue towards the day´s first pass, Warmihuañusca (Dead Woman´s Pass). This is the ideal place to observe llamas and domestic alpacas grazing. You can also see various types of birds, the famous gorrio or Andean bears. After this pass, you will descend again gently, in the direction of the valley of Pacaymayu (3,600 m.) where you will spend your second night.
Day 3: PACAYMAYO- CHAQUICOCHA- WINAYWAYNA
This third day is the most interesting of the hike. You will see a lot of archaeological sites and your guide will give you a full explanation. From Pacaymayu you will climb up to the second pass, Abra de Runkurakay (3970 m.). In the morning you will visit the archaeological complex of the same name, situated at 3,800 m. After the pass, you will descend in the direction of Yanacocha ( the black lagoon) finally entering the cloud forest in Sayacmarca (3,624 m). This is a beautiful complex made of a semicircular construction with diverse levels, narrow streets, liturgical fountains and irrigation ditches. Continuing with an easy ascent, you will arrive at the third stop Phuyupatamarca (3,700 m)
We will continue our trek through an Inca tunnel to arrive at the afore mentioned pass. This is one of the most complete archaeological complexes and the highest point of the mountain. You will continue ascending towards Wiñayhuayna (2700 m). Here you will find a country house with a restaurant, a bar and rooms with a bath and warm showers. Five minutes from the campsite is Wiñayhuayna's archaeological complex, which consists of an agricultural center with numerous religious and urban terraces.

Day 4: WINAYWAYNAW-MACHUPICCHU
Early the following day after breakfast, you will leave Winñaywayna for the Untipunku or "Gate of the Sun", where you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Machu Picchu citadel at sunrise. From this point, the astonished traveler can contemplate the majesty and grandeur of Machu Picchu. After a short hike down to Machu Picchu, you will be given a two-hour guided visit by your guide. After enjoying the ruins, you will have some free time to visit the citadel on your own or climb Waynapichu mountain from where you have a fantastic view of Machu Picchu and the surrounding valley. You can also visit the Moon temple or the Inca bridge before taking the bus to Aguas Calientes where you will have free time to enjoy the town before you return to Cusco.
Machu Picchu is THE Inca City and many claim it is the most beautiful, the best preserved and most famous fortress in the world.
