| | SUMMARY |
| | Chachani is one of the easiest 6000m peaks you can hope to climb, along with El Misti which is in close proximity. The altitude can be the biggest concern for climbers. Crampons and an ice axe are the equipment of choice, no rope or other special equipment is needed since there is no glacier.

| ITINERARY |
DAY01
Pick-up from your hotel around after breakfast. We start hiking Chachani at an altitude of 5,100 mts (16,000 ft) and we will climb for two hours before setting up camp at an altitude of around 16500 ft. Before going to bed a light dinner will be served. DAY 02 After a small breakfast, we leave at around 3 am and begin our six-hour ascent. Your guide should plan to reach the top at around 10:00 am. As you arrive at the summit, you will be greeted with a magnificent view, which includes the summit of El Misti, a nearby volcano, and the Andes. The view, if the weather is kind, which it often is here, should include Picchu Picchu. From the peak it takes around three hours to get back to the campsite after midday and the natural reserve of Aguada Blanca, Arequipa. We will return to Arequipa in the afternoon where you will be transferred to your hotel.
