PIE09: CLASSIC TRIP TO COLCA CANYON l2DAYS/1NIGHT)

We leave Arequipa early for the Colca Valley. From Arequipa (2,325m) we travel by bus to Pampa Cañahuas (3,800m) where you will be able to see vicuñas in their natural habitat.
Then we continue by road to its highest point, Patapampa (4,800m), where one can marvel at the high volcanoes which surround the place.

We arrive at Chivay in the early afternoon and will be staying in a local accommodation. In the afternoon you can take a bath in the hot springs of Chivay, relaxing in style before enjoying a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. The owners will put on a folklaw show for your entertainment before you retire back at your hotel, the" Pozo del Cielo ".

Day 02 : CHIVAY- CONDOR CROSS -AREQUIPA

Breakfast is very early on this morning because we will head to the famous Mirador Del Condor (the Condor Viewpoint) to watch the soaring flight of these magnificent birds of prey as they ascend on the thermals from the depths of the canyon. From here one can also appreciate the depth and expanse of the Canyon itself , vast, verdant, plunging cliffs and snow-capped peaks in the distance.
On the way back, we will make several stops in the small villages characteristic of the Colca Valley. We arrive at Chivay, the provincial capital, for lunch, and then return to Arequipa by bus in the afternoon.
